Brussels-les-Bains replaced by 'Hello Summer' events Apr 26th 2019, 08:17, by info@bxlconnect.com (TBT News) Brussels beach themed summer event Bruxelles-les-Bains will no longer take place this year, but it will be replaced in spirit. The new event - called "Hello Summer" - will be hosted by four sites in the capital over weekends throughout the summer.
Due to planned construction on the banks of the Brussels Canal, Brussels les Bains was logistically unable to continue. Instead, a shortened version will take its place, explained the Brussels alderman for Culture, Tourism and Major Events Delphine Houba.
Over four long weekends, four sites will host their own programming, including film screenings, dance, sports, family activities and the unmissable mojitos, sand, deckchairs and straw huts.
From 25 July to 4 August, it will be the Cité administrative, followed by square Ambiorix from 8 to 11 August, place Peter Benoît from 15 to 18 August and square Léopold from 22 to 25 August.
