Uber launches electric bikes in Brussels Apr 25th 2019, 16:07, by info@bxlconnect.com (TBT News) As of Thursday, there is a new player on the Brussels electric bike sharing market - Uber. The JUMP service started in Brussels early on Thursday morning with 500 electric bikes appearing across Brussels City, Saint-Gilles, Ixelles, Etterbeek, Sint-Joost-ten-Node and Schaerbeek. The bikes are pedal-assist electric bikes, which means that the harder you pedal the more you will be assisted. An integrated GPS and lock means that you can find a bike near you, and go for a ride. "The centre of Brussels can be challenging to navigate smoothly," says Nicholas Van de Loock, General Manager of JUMP Belgium. "With the integration of JUMP in our current range, we can offer solutions to ease commuting and help users in the search for alternative and sustainable transport," he added.
